For more than 30 years, FPC has partnered with our neighborhood school, Parkway Elementary, to provide a mentoring program for children in grades K-1. The Parkway community liaison invites children for the weekly program, which includes crafts and educational activities, story time, and a nutritious dinner. The longest-running program of its kind in Frederick County Public Schools, Open Door is an intergenerational celebration of learning and relationship in a happy, loving environment.
