The congregation of FPC lives out its calling to be disciples of Jesus Christ as it supports mission programs locally, nationally, and internationally. Our support includes financial offerings, collections of tangible items, and hands-on participation in various mission activities. For specific opportunities, please refer to the FPC mission calendar.

Open Door – An in-church program for more than 30 years, working in partnership with a neighborhood school, Parkway Elementary. Church members provide one-on-one mentoring for children identified by the school.

Alcohol and Drug Recovery Groups – For more than 40 years FPC has provided meeting rooms and kitchen space. Groups hold over 20 meetings per week and annual all-night vigils.

Frederick County Food Bank – Non-perishable food donations are collected for the Food Bank the first Sunday of every month.

Religious Coalition for Emergency Human Needs (RCEHN) – Provides short term emergency assistance to help prevent homelessness of families and individuals. It also provides screening and coordination of services to the poor and needy.

Alan P. Linton, Jr. Emergency Shelter – Provides year- round programs and safe sleeping facilities for homeless individuals of Frederick County.

Emergency Family Shelter – Provides services and safe sleeping facilities for homeless families.

Interfaith Housing Alliance – Provides decent, affordable housing for those with lower incomes.

Frederick Rescue Mission – A Christ-centered ministry that provides a long-term residential recovery program to the chemically addicted, food to the hungry, clothing and furniture to the needy.

Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnership (COIPP) – Assists children and their caregivers when a parent is incarcerated.

SHIP – Provides resources and services to Frederick County youth experiencing homelessness.

Rise Against Hunger – Mobilizes volunteers to package meals for people in need around the globe.

Habitat for Humanity of Frederick County – Builds affordable housing and provides mentoring services for families in need.

Heartly House – Serves women and children who are survivors of violence and abuse.

The Literacy Council of Frederick County – Teaches adults reading and other English language skills needed to provide for their families.

City Youth Matrix – Helps families with limited resources access extracurricular activities.

Rebuilding Together – A national charity in which volunteers complete essential repairs on low income homes.

Church World Service (CWS) – Provides sustainable self-help and development, disaster relief, and refugee assistance in more than 80 countries. We support the CWS worldwide humanitarian efforts through its Kit Program.

Society of Saint Andrew – Provides produce to feeding agencies across the country through its Gleaning Network, Seed Potato Project, Potato Project and Harvest of Hope.

Mission of Mercy – Provides free basic medical care, dental care, prenatal care, physical therapy, and free prescription medications to the uninsured via a mobile medical clinic and volunteer healthcare professionals.

Blessings in a Backpack – Provides supplemental weekend food supplies for local children in need.

Veterans – We support several veteran’s organizations including Veterans Restoration Quarters in Asheville, NC.

Good Samaritan Ministry – Provides emergency services for Syrian Christian refugees.

Mission Trips – We support and participate in annual youth mission trips.

Presbytery of Baltimore Missions – Engages in global partnerships and disaster relief.

Presbyterian General Assembly Mission – Engages in ministry with international partners in 80 countries. We support Cheryl Barnes, a missionary in Malawi.

Denominational Offerings – Peace and Global Witness Offering, One Great Hour of Sharing, and Joy Gift Offerings are supported annually.
